Ant & dick!
04/08/06
CHEEKY Ant McPartlin’s new neighbours have been getting more than they bargained for – an eyeful of his wedding tackle!

The telly star has become the talking point of Chiswick, West London, because he keeps flashing his flesh at the locals.

Ant, 30, and bride Lisa, 29, recently moved into their million pound house, but have been so busy planning their wedding they forgot to buy new curtains.

So every time Ant takes a shower he’s been flashing his manhood at his eagle-eyed neighbours.

One said: "Due to their lack of curtains, the whole of Ant is available to be seen every day.

"And the displays are proving quite a local draw. He’s really spiced up our neighbourhood."

Locals can look forward to a second slice of the celebrity world.

Ant’s best mate, on-screen partner Declan Donnelly, 30, has bought a house in the same street. The resident added: "It’s going to make life a lot more interesting having both of them on the street.

"But let’s hope that Dec buys some curtains before he moves in!"

At least Ant will have a tanned body to show off when he returns from his honeymoon next week.

The newlyweds spent £800 a night to stay at the six-star One & Only resort at Reethi Rah in the Maldives.

They have splashed out on a luxurious beach villa complete with their own butler.

The resort has four miles of golden coastline, 40 swimming pools, four yachts, five restaurants and a spa.

An insider revealed: "It only opened a few months ago and it has been designed to be one of the most beautiful and romantic places on the planet.

"Honeymooners get extra special treatment of course, and as soon as Ant and Lisa arrived they were served a bottle of the finest champagne.

"Their villa has its own 25-metre pool and private access to a lagoon and beach. It’s paradise."

TV pals insured against solo death

TV presenters Ant and Dec have taken out insurance - in case the other one dies.

The stars, who have worked together since meeting on children's drama Byker Grove, get a "massive payout" if their TV partner is fatally struck down.

Dec, 29, said: "I just know that if Ant kicks the bucket, I get a massive payout.

He added: "I don't know how much, we have people who look after that.

Ant, 30, joked: "I don't think we're insured if we fall out though.

The I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! pair also discussed their recent royal interview with the Prince of Wales and his sons William and Harry, to mark the 30th anniversary of The Prince's Trust.

Ant said: "At first Charles was very cagey - we'd ask the boys questions and he'd answer for them.

"We told them there was no hidden agenda, and once they realised that, the boys spoke more.

AUNT & DUNK

EXCLUSIVE Star has honeymoon fun after ordeal on jet Comic pushes wife Lisa in sea
By Caroline Waterston

CHEEKY Ant McPartlin gives his wife Lisa a playful ducking as they frolic on their honeymoon.

The TV favourite could not resist pushing her off a pontoon while snorkelling in The Maldives.

And there could be no doubt who proud newlywed Lisa was - she had Mrs McPartlin written on her red bikini bottom. But the romantic break had earlier got off to a nightmare start -

Their jet had to divert to the grim Middle East state after a fellow passenger fell ill. They then missed a connecting flight at capital of And the exhausted pair, both 30, arrived at their exotic resort on Friday - 18 HOURS late.

A source said: "Poor Ant and Lisa. It was traumatic to say the least. No-one would want to land in . And missing their connection was far from ideal as well."

Worn out I'm A Celebrity host Ant - one half of Ant and Dec - SLEPT for hours on a beach sun lounger when they finally reached the isle of Reethi Rah - 32 hours after leaving London.

GO TO ALE
EXCLUSIVE Star gets decked out for fancy dress pub crawl Telly Ant's boozy Monopoly stag do
By Alice Walker On His Stag Do

HE was careful not to Go to Jail...but Ant McPartlin boozed his way round the rest of the Monopoly board on his stag bash yesterday.

The telly favourite kept up a quick-change routine of fancy dress outfits as pals including sidekick and best man Declan Donnelly took him on an hilarious tour of London boozers.

Ant, 30 - who weds long-term love Lisa Armstrong this summer - played the game as a blonde French maid, fireman, chav, 70s-style footballer and soccer fan in St George's gear.

The marathon pub crawl started at 11am and took in lots of Monopoly's famous property sites.

Ant's gang of 27 mainly Geordie pals supped half pints at the Lord Nelson on Old Kent Road and hit Whitechapel and Angel Islington. They boozed in the Red Lion on Pall Mall and took a meal break in the Clarence on Whitehall.

Then they popped in at the Sherlock Holmes off Northumberland Avenue.

By then Ant had donned an Afro wig and green soccer shirt. Two minibuses whisked the pals to the Globe on Bow Street - where Ant had them in fits of laughter as a French maid complete with make-up and wig.

In the Wellington bar on The Strand Ant donned moustache and sailor hat.

At one stage the star pulled out Monopoly Chance and Community Chest cards for a drinking game which left him downing three Sambucas with his lager.

When two girls approached for a chat, he picked up a calling card with a busty blonde on it and joked: "You got here quickly I only telephoned you five minutes ago."

Lurching to the loo, Ant was overheard saying: "I'm not OK, not OK one bit, I think I might have had it already."

By last night he had not passed go - but seemed on his way to passing out.

DEC: IVE NO-ONE TO TAKE TO ANTS WEDDING.

Their double act has served them both well for 17 yrs. But there could be trouble looming in Ant Mc Partlin & Declan Donnelly’s relationship over Ants plans to marry.

Thankfully, the pair haven’t fallen out over a girl- in fact Dec gets on so well with Ant’s fiancée Lisa Armstrong that he admits that he is always round their house .Its just that Ants a bit nervous about what Decs going to do to him on his stag night and, even worse, what he’s going to say in his best mans speech. “We haven’t had the stag do yet”, reveals Dec. “We’re still looking for a lamppost that’s secluded enough to tie Ant to for the evening. The pictures will be available to the highest bidder. “I’ve started working on the speech already, though. There’s kind of a shortlist of stories. But I’ve been thinking :”Oh I cant tell that one- Lisa wont like it; his mam wont like that one; my mam wont like that one, so I cant tell that one either….”So now it’s a short shortlist of stories that are allowed to be mentioned in the speech.”

Ant, who’s set to marry long term girlfriend, make-up artist Lisa, 29, in June seems to have resigned himself to the fact that there is nothing he can do about the surprises his mate may have in store. “I’m looking forward to it, but dreading it at the same time”, he says.

Decs currently single after his 10yr relationship with actress Clare Buckfield ended in 2003. The couple had already split briefly in 2001, during which time lap dancer Tins Benson claimed to have had a relationship with him. This year he has been seeing actress Kate Braithwaite, 25, but he says he doesn’t have a date for Ants wedding. “To be honest with you, I haven’t even got a “plus 1” – Ants so tight he hasn’t given me one, “So I haven’t got a date, but I wouldn’t be able to take her anyway, he jokes.”

His eligibility ought to make Dec the worlds sexiest Geordie, but Ants not so sure. “That title probably goes to Sting. He’s not only sexy, but he can have sex for as long as he wants”.

In between the wedding preparations there is also work to consider. The boy’s next project will be an interview with princes William & Harry for a Princes Trust anniversary show. There’s also their newly released movie “Alien Autopsy”, a comedy about a scam involving fake film of aliens that supposedly crash- landed in the desert in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947.The film marked the duo’s return to their roots in acting. “It was weird going back to it in a way because it was a different discipline & a bit of a gear change for us”, says Dec. “We’re obviously used to doing live telly, which is all about pre-production, getting ready in rehearsal, then doing it, then it’s gone & you cant change it. “With the film, it’s very different in that we finished shooting last September & since then it’s been in edit & screenings. It’s been quite a different challenge for us & one that we’ve really enjoyed”, The lure of the big screen has certainly whetted their appetites for making more movies, “We’ve definitely got a taste for it, but we’re not jacking in TV”, says Ant. “We love TV & we’ve got stuff to do for the rest of the year”.

The duo has happy memories of their days presenting Saturday morning kids’ TV. “I miss Wonky Donkey & at home in the garage I still have the horn we used to blast”, says Dec.” They were great days”, agrees Ant. “We’d do SMTV & CD: UK, then finish at 12.30pm & go to the bar upstairs for the rest of Saturday.” “We’d be vomiting by 9”, laughs Dec. “Then we’d go for a Chinese”.

Ant & Dec are both 30 now & show no signs of getting sick of each other. But they worry that other people might get bored with them. “We talk about work quite a lot, but only in the sense that if we’re down the pub, it’s: “Oh, I’ve got a good idea for the show”, or: “Oh, what about this?” We’re always thinking of ideas”, says Ant. “But once we get home or if we meet up later on, we switch off. I get grief from my girlfriend if we talk about work too much.”

DEC BEATING TV STRESS AT FAITH CAMP
By Steve Myall

TV star Declan Donnelly has visited a religious camp to get away from showbiz stress.

The I'm A Celebrity presenter - one half of Ant and Dec - has mixed with dozens of other worshippers at the Global Youth Village centre in Co Durham.

The centre, run by Dec's priest brother Father Dermott Donnelly, is on a converted holiday camp and caters for the 18-30s.

It is close to where Geordies Ant and Dec, both 30, grew up.

Fr Donnelly said: "Yes, both he and Ant have been very supportive.

"Dec's been up, had a barbecue and he loves it.

"It's not something he really talks about but he loves it here.

"It's a beautiful peaceful place where you can connect with God."

At one time, Dec thought about being a priest and remains a committed Roman Catholic.

A few years the mirror let fans do a little Q and A..

April 2006
EXCLUSIVE: ANT & DEC ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS
Ant & Dec
Kiki King, Eva Simpson & Caroline Hedley

HE's been a single man since splitting with Clare Buckfield in 2004 - and girls, we're happy to report that Declan Donnelly is still on the market.

Despite being romantically linked to Waking The Dead actress Kate Braithwaite, Dec insisted he's not in a relationship when we invited readers to quiz him and his long-term buddy, Ant McPartlin.

The likely lads, who are both 30, were also grilled about their bigscreen debut in the £5million movie Alien Autopsy, which is based on a true story. They play geeky British UFO enthusiasts who convinced the world they had film of an autopsy on an alien.

Here, the Geordie duo field your questions about the film, fights and more...

What was the best and worst thing about making Alien Autopsy?

Patricia Broadhurst Tyne-and-Wear

Dec: The best was filming in LA - you couldn't help but feel like a film star! The worst was cold, rainy shoots filming until 4am.

Would you ever quit the UK for Hollywood?

Richard Hardcastle, Essex

Ant: It would be great to work there some more, but we would never fully quit the UK.

What pranks did you play on each other on set?

Graham Mackintosh, Aberdeen

Ant: We always tried to make each other laugh when we were doing close-ups. There was a penalty of a fiver for a laugh. Dec: Ant owes me £2,500 - and he'd better pay up.

Would you ever do a nude scene?

Ashley Terry, Port Talbot, South Wales

Ant: Yes, but in a tasteful way.

Dec: There's a scene in Alien Autopsy featuring Ant in a dressing gown. Frankly, that's as much as anybody wants to see.

If you could pick a leading lady to star with, who would it be?

Katherine Chan, Hythe, Kent

Ant: Angelina Jolie.

Dec: Eva Longoria, Jessica Simpson, Evangeline Lilly, or Big Mo from EastEnders - beggars can't be choosers

Ant, what's the worst thing that could happen at your wedding?

Nasim Latif, Leicester

Ant: If I faint it'll be embarrassing.

Dec: Yeah, but at least you'd get £250 from You've Been Framed.

Dec, I was happy to read that you'd been dating Kate Braithwaite. What's the story?

Sarah Slater, Carlisle

Dec: I've known Kate for a while. She's a great girl but we're just mates. I'm still a single man!

Would you ever work independently of each other?

Jessica Morris Crawley, East Sussex)

Dec: I'm sure we will do stuff apart, but everything we've got planned is for both of us.

Have you ever rowed?

Liz Turner, Camden, London

Dec: We've only ever had one fight that was in a lift in Spain. Ant punched me in the chest and I knocked his cap off. That was it - it was a pitiful fight.

Which famous person has impressed you the most?

Gerald Otto, Peckham, London

Ant: We interviewed Prince Charles five years ago. He was charming and had a great sense of humour.

Dec: We're interviewing him again next month so we must have done something right.

When you look back over your career what are your proudest and most embarrassing moments?

Rebecca Atkinson, Folkestone, Kent

Ant: We'll both be really proud on Monday at the premiere.

Dec: We've got three premieres, three nights in a row, in London, Newcastle and Dublin, so it's really exciting.

Ant: Most embarrassing? We went on holiday together many years ago. When we arrived at the hotel room there was a double bed for us. They thought we were a gay couple!
