i'm gonna stun you all and say i'm not talking about Cat Deeley for a change
i know nothing about cats i dont really like them and they dont like me lol i prefer dogs but i have a cat and 2 kittens that keep appearing in my garden and i was wondering if its normal for a cat and its kittens to be away from home? i think they might be strays and they are actually living in my garden every time i go to inspect them the kittens hide in the bushes and reappear later
My friend quarantined her cat as it was about to give birth as she was told it would do so outside then she might not necessarily find them! I'm not keen on cats - they always look like they are planning something but we've got two round our way who work their way round other cat owners houses eating as they go and one has two kittens.

If the kittens are quite small then I would expect the mother cat to be with her kittens indoors. Could you ask your neighbours if they know who that cat belongs to? If no one knows then I would given the cat some water at the very least and food if possible. The kittens will also need food if they are no longer feeding off their mum. She could get week if she is still feeding them milk and then she and the kittens could become ill and even die.
I suggest you contact a local animal sanctuary for advice or the Cats protection League.

My family found three baby kittens in our back woodpile. We knew the mom was a mean stray cat so we took the kittens inside and fed them for a couple days but then we gave them to the local animal shelter.
