here is a little topic for people who have been to Newcastle to give some tips on places to go, places to stay and a little guide to the fantastic place of Newcastle, incase anyone fancies going
I have been so many times i have lost count. Latest adventure was just last weekend actually. Go every year so here are my tips.
Places to Stay - I have stayed in a number of city centre hotels all have been great. The Jury Inn is right by the arena and only 2 minutes walk from the train station. The Quality Inn is beside the Bigg Market but is quite old-fashioned inside and the new Express by Holiday Inn is a nice hotel too.
Places to Go - Can't go to Newcastle without a visit to the Metro Centre, very easy to get to by Train. And have to visit the Quayside too. In the summer months the bus tour is a must, there is 2 tours to do and both are brilliant.
Places to Eat - Only one place i have to mention - Cocomos. the Italian Restaurant down by the Quayside is amazing. the food is so lush and we always have a nice relaxing meal down there.
At Christmas time there is always a market in the city centre and the decorations are fab and if you time it right you get to see the amazing end of festival fireworks at the quayside.
Oh and don't forget to come home with some Stottie Cakes...Mmmmm
Hope this helps and look forward to other top tips

Lmao I could never do that, I got drunk at a friends down a few streets a month ago, I made my way home at 4am alone, hubby saw me from upstairs walking through a bush so come to get me, opened the door to find me slumped on the dustbin I dont remember getting home at all.
And you know how I got that drunk? These freidns were geordies and they drank me under the blerdy table!

Oh no I really do suffer, couldnt stick to a routine if I was drunk, that hangover lasted 2 days!
Its got me in some bother though, the last bar is the one I have trouble with as am always way too drunk, I come out of the loo's and go "Right chaz, walk in a straight line, convince them your sober" I step but always fall onto someone I get booted out, get in a taxi and the last time I gave them a £20 for a £2.50 ride and never got change!
